Dont overtighting it though. Make sure it has some slack or it willcause towear prematurely for both chain and sprockets.

Hi mate,

That is too tight! Loosten that puppy. A too tight chain can cause all sorts of problems, especially if you hit a big bump and the rear suspension compresses.

Try to get it midway between the range setout in the manual. I think its about 2.5cm from memory. Sounds like you are closer to 1cm - 1.5cm
