Default does this seem kinda low??

so i really like the look of the f3s. and i want one bad. in my search on CL i found a beauty. 1997 600 f3.
but the price is only $1900... that seems low(not that im complaining haha)

here she is

its a little to far away for me to go check her out, so im just gunna assume this guy is way generous and everything works fine.

I wouldn't assume anything. Ask him to email you some better pictures. It looks pretty good. Someone has repainted it, hard to tell from the pics... 36K miles....The price is not that low, I would say prob. pretty fair price...If it checks out I would offer $1500. Keep us posted

Hmm... I'd question why the new paint and controls. Sounds suspiciously like it was dropped and repaired.

take a deeeeeeep breath and chillax. At the pace you're going, you might jump at the first thing you see. And inherit a set of problems not worth the amount you paid.

Scan ebay, craiglist, the papers and mags like Motorcycle trader. I'd honestly say if I were going this route, I'd go with ebay because they offer the most in buyer protection of vehicles.

Ask questions! Maint history (with receipts if possible). Owner's riding styles (it could be his stunt bike that he slapped the plastics back on). If the bike has been repainted or any non-performance parts replaced, find out why (signs its been dropped).

Especially if buying something local, do not go alone to a non-public location. Don't have them bring the bike to your house and don't meet them at theirs, especially with cash. They just busted a craigslist scammer in our area who was robbing the people at the meets

Yeah man you should chillax and find out everything you can about the bike you wanna get, I just bought a '96 F3 for $1,000 bucks and I already started having problems with it, now I have to replace the oil cooler. So beware, do your homework. good luck
