Ron Paul was a strict constitutionalist. He was running for the Republican party and has received a lot of money for campaigning (but no one is sure where the money went). He is a doctor and a congressman from TX. He believes in returning to the gold standard. He also believes in strict adherence to the constitution. As a congressman, many projects he has headed was run so efficiently, that he ended up returning funds. I think people like Howard Stern and some other celebrities lauded him. Thinking he was the man to get things done. He also opposes the "Patriot Act."

Apparently, he had some other beliefs that were kindof off the wall, but I have no idea what they are.

No creating a country run on lawyer sweat makes you a nut. I like the fact that he believes in the constitution but some of his ideas were ludicrous at best.
