Difference between F3/F4/FX/FY
Hello Guys and Girls. I have just started riding again after smashing my thou up on the 33rd in the IOM so have decided to start again on the fantastic 1998 CBR600 F3 (i believe)
I was wondering if you might be able to clarify the difference between all the different models F3/F4/FX/FY. I have been told the FX/FY fairingd dont cover the frame. is this right? are there any other differences?
I am asking as I am looking at getting:
Air Filter (HiFlo Prob)
Oil Filter (K&N Maybe)
Oil
Spark Plugs (poss NGK Irridium)
New Sump Plug just to be safe (are they all magnetic to catch bits in engine oil)
I have seen very few parts for the F3 but have seen loads for the FX/FY. are they the same internals and sizes?
also anyone recomment best place to get these for cost and/or any alternative recommendations for a better value for money (rather than the most expensive).
Also any recommendations for who to insure with?
I live in the North West aged 31. Riding since i was 17 with full NCB Protection, however claimed £4,000 18months ago after crashing (hence starting on a 600 for cheaper insurance)?
Sorry for the lengthy message
Rich
