Default Crazytaxi's 1998 CBR 600 F3

This is not going to be any major project. More or less just trying to fix it up, to the standard I want, and share my experiences and questions with this awesome community

It's a 1998 F3 that I bought last spring, as the urge of having a bike became to strong.. This was one of the few that was for sale within 1 hours drive from me, that was in my pricerange. This meant that it wasn't mint of course, so that brought the price down a bit. (These bikes is actually priced higher than an 900RR from the same year it seems)

This is a picture from the Ad, before I got it:

The first thing I did was to change the mirrors, since they were cracked
Searched ebay for a set that I liked, and settled on those. Here I have also started changing the side signals:

with turn signals on:

The ebay ad stated that the LED-signals were for the F3, but it wasn't exactly so. At first I tried to just mount them, but they disappeared into the mounting hole.

Thanks
It starts with the small things.. hehe (my friends just call me the Ebay-*****.. )
But i'm not going all the way like you have done (mad respect to you there). I don't have the time to start on a massive project like that.. I've got to many that I need to finish first.. hehe

I'm really glad I changed mine, it was due..
I also bought myself a magnetic oil-plug, so it will be interesting to se if it has caught anything during the season..

Great job, looks really good. Nice technique with the seat upholstery, was it difficult to fit? How is the flash rate on the new led signals?

No it was actually quite easy, the seat cover was made to fit.
Bought this one:
CBR600 seat cover for Honda CBR 600 F3 1997-98 | eBay

The flash rate is like the original ones, but I already had led resistances in the wiring, so I haven't tried without. But would like to think they would work without..

Thanks
Yeah, but they felt more naturally for me that way. I thought they looked better with them that way, than the other way..

But hey, thankfully people got different taste. Or otherwise "customizing" would be a boring thing.. :P
