Default Clunking/clicking

I have discovered another problem with my F3, it seems like it never ends. Here we go, when starting out in first it lightly clunks/clicks during the first few seconds. I can feel it through the tank. It only does it in first and sometimes in second. Anyone have any ideas?

Classic CCT symptoms. You'll have to pop the engine open to verify, but I'll bet that's it. Get yourself a nice APE manually adjustable one, and you won't have to ever deal with this again.

Hes talkin about drive chain noise ... not cam chain. I did a search on this yesterday and sounds like removing the front sprocket and then re-torque it. I haven't removed the front sprocket cover to see if there is abnormal wear yet, but my guess is the chain is riding on the sprocket wierd. I was thinking that the sprocket is actually floating causing the noise every half turn (only 2 bolts on sprocket)

I was thinking it was the cam chain smacking the side of the case from the tension being so low. If the noise is at measurable repeating increments, then yeah, you're right.

Well I ordered a manual cct, I will wait to ride again until that gets here and see if that corrects the problem.

Well I replaced the CCT with an APE tensioner and I checked the front sprocket and all seemed to be in order. I think my chain may be a little loose so I'm going to tighten in and see what that does. So jpanside I'll take that million now but you can keep your life... for now lol
