Ok i found a 2002 cbr f4i less than thirty minutes from my house. Completely stock, 10k miles white/blue. And get this its the same price as the 98 model with 18k miles >> $3,000.
Going to test drive the bike this sunday and most likely go ahead and buy it monday.
I guess good things come to those who wait. When i get it monday ill probably post some pics to let ya'll see. 4 long months of waiting and i finally get the exact thing i've been wanting a stock f4i (digital gauges woooot )

I'd be worried about the head stock on that thing if the bike had bent forks due to the collision it was in. Check those steering lock tabs and make sure the swing arm seems to be aligned.
If I were you, I'dalso due a check on theV.I.N. number (Your bank or credit can look those things up.) to see if thst thing has a clean title and not a salvage/rebuilt one.
Go with money if you want to buy, but, if it looks "fishy" walk away. I'd hate to see you drop that kind of "coin"over a "lust blinded" purchase. You know, there will always be another one for sale...And that one may be the right one for you.
But hey, that's just me.
