Charging Voltage?

Charging Voltage?
Hey Guys I was after people's info on my scenario, I replaced my R/R (heavy duty non genuine GSXR of Ebay) as it cooked my battery and died, and so after it was fitted i checked the voltage at the battery and found I have 15.8Volts at anything over 4000rpm and15.4Volts at idle.
When the bike is off the battery reads 13.6 volts (I did buy a brand new battery added the liquid and put on charge for 4 hours as per the instructions)
So my question is the voltage too high? or is it at the upper limit of what is acceptable?
I have followed the troubleshooting guide that everyone refers too and it said to check the power cable from the regulator and the battery I have done this and nothing seems to have changed any ideas?

if you let the battery sit overnight, it will eventually settle at 13v or perhaps a little above since it's new.
r/r sounds like its doing its job also.
take it out for a good ride and record the results,
have fun riding!
