hey guys, so my battery for some reason won't stay carged, it is brand new, no im thinking it is either the sator or the rectifire but either way i am gonna replace both. my questions are first do you agree or do you have any other ideas, and two i had oil in the stator housing is there supposed to be any in there, and if not do you think there is a bad seal somewhere. the bike was also dropped but in grass, thank god, do you think that had something to do with it. all answers are greatly appreciated, thanks.

 

Search here for the charging test, I think it's a sticky, and go from there. Sounds like stator, R/R, or faulty wiring. The test should give you a pretty good idea where the failure is..
