I got a 96 F3 and I noticed a noise around 5k RPM. you don't really hear it below that or above it much just around 5k. It almost sounds like something vibrating against something else. I'm wondering if it could be the cam chain tensioner? I have a f2 also and was wondering if the CCT off it would fit my F3?

 

Yeah, sounds like cam chain tensioner. Dunno about CCT off f2 to an f3. I'll look and see what i can find.
