bad news, mine is goin bad. makes the noise between 4 and 5 grand. so, all i need is the part in the picture right? no seals or anything? ill probably get a OEM one. and all i need to do is unbolt it and put the new one on? nothing else? no special stuff to do? just pull it out and put it in?

bout how much $ will it set me back too?

 

the APE CCT is the best way to go, it never goes bad, you CAN and should replace the gasket if you can get one, but it's really no big deal if the old one is in good shape.

APE one is $50, as for OEM I have no idea, from Honda it's probably substantially more expensive.

 

what sort of noise are you getting? is it a loud vibration or a rattle?

 

yea, it sounds like a loose drive chain really. like on a dirt bike. i wish i could describe it better. it is pretty loud too. is it really bad to ride it like that?
