CCT for 1,200!?!?
No chance that one of the enginecovers are loose? I know that my stator cover is begining to let out some oil. Also my enduro was pouring out oil when the cover loosened up from the screws rattleing out. That would be an easy fix...just hopeful thinkning
To get to the out shaft seal, the cases have to be split. I've never done that but I know it requires a special tool. If you try to use the ol wedge in a flat head screw driver, you'll most likely damage the contact surfaces and then you're REALLY screwed. Do what kidcr3 said and get a Honda manual. You can download them from here, just do a search. Read it over and see if it's something you think you can take on. If you read over and determine that you don't want to take on slpitting the cases, remove the motor from the bike. Then haul it to the shop for them to repair. You'll save just about a couple hundred bucks there (assuming $80 - $90/ hour).
the good news is (complete sarcasm)they told me they took another look at the bike and there saying its the whole top end.
so now the bike is sitting in my garage and i have no clue what to do cuz i dont have the money or skills to fix up the whole top end.

really.
i might have to do some searching into that.
im not the most mechanically inclined with bikes but im having someone i know help me out with the swap.
he told me as long as i get the parts he will do it for me.
ill definetly have to look into maybe upgrading to the 900rr since it shouldnt cost me much more.
i heard that there is a few more things i would have to buy and do but im not 100% sure.

Eh, I'll sell you my whole top end off my old engine. (14k on the tach at time of removal)
The head is pristine. The reason i swapped engines was a cracked lower case. It would be the same job as a head gasket.
Not too hard for a do it yourselfer. Engine dropout takes maybe 3 hours. If you really know what you're doing, it could be on the floor in an hour.
