Default CBR600FW power problem

Hi, I have a problem with my cbr600fw which I cannot seem to find a solution for. When I turn the key in the ignition I get no power whatsoever through the bike however when I turn the key to the off position the alarm starts making weird constant chirps. I cannot disarm this unless I turn the key back to the on position or disconnect the battery. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I have just recently (yesterday) replaced the stator and reg/rec but still problem persists.

Here's a video of the problem

Check your 30a main fuse. Its probably blown or your battery is dead.

Thanks for the suggestions. The 30amp main fuse is still in tact (I replaced with the spare just to be sure) and the battery is holding 12.7volts. I guess my only option is to strip back the alarm (which I was hoping I wouldn't have to do). It was installed prior to me buying the bike so have no documentation on it but should be able to find something online. I wouldn't mind getting rid of the alarm completely but I hear it is a nightmare to do as it is wired into the immobiliser

It should not be too hard to remove. Why do you want to remove it? What kind of alarm do you have and ill see if I can find a wiring diagram.

Does the alarm always sound like that? Is your battery dead?

Is it in sleep or winter mode?

Thumbs up

I have managed to find the problem. I traced back through the wiring and found the wire from battery to main fuse had melted half way through. I ran new cable through and all is fine now. The main fuse on second inspection had warped slightly as well so I'm guessing it didn't break like it is supposed to. It seems tat the melted cable was providing too much resistance so bike and alarm weren't getting full power. Thank you to everyone who gave input.
