hi all just wondering if there is any one who lives near maidstone on here, as rather than pay out a lot of money to get my bike running, i thought perhaps if someone was near me i could plug a couple of bits in to my bike from a working bike, so i can eliminate a few things, after owning bike for a month now and still not got it running on all four, and bleeding the bank dry, and if any of you know a set of carbs for sale at a nice price, i might be able to stretch to a set. i have changed coils, changed filter, new plugs cleaned carbs, and still only fires on two, untill i pour petrol in top of the two that dont fire, then it runs up in revs, but dies when uses that petrol up,

stop just throwing money at new parts and clean your carbs, since the two cylinders fire when you put fuel straight into them then you know you have a fuel delivery problem.
dont get new carbs, just get a service manual if you dont already have one, and follow it step by step and clean one carb at a time(so if you mess up somewhere you have others to look off of).
and by clean i dont mean take off the float bowls and spray carb cleaner, i mean take everything apart, soak the parts in a can of carb cleaner overnight, then re-assemble and install.

Theres cleaning the carbs, and there is cleaning the carbs. It's not that I don't beleive you - I do, but there are people that think carb cleaning if a quick open, spray, close deal. I cleaned a set of carbs on my other bike this past weekend, it was a 3 hour job. I soak everything, and spray all the orifices in all directions, use dental picks to get rid of all the gunk that sits. One little peice of sht in your jet will ruin your day.
