Default CBR F3 dash LED conversion

I thought the dash was a little to dim for my liking so I swapped the stock bulbs for LED ones from superbrightleds.com.
Check it:

New

The bulbs:

I got the warm white ones. When I did the led dash in the foxbody I used cool white and it made everything bluish. Looked more modern but the reds don't pop like the warm whites do. I'll also mention that the exposure from my phone exaggerates the brightness difference of the LED's, but they are definitely an improvement.

You'll need 8 bulbs. All the lights are replaced except for the 2 turn signal bulbs. They need to remain incandescent because of the turn signal relay. At least they didn't work when I tried to put an led in them (and yes I tried both polarities...).

Here's the back of the cluster. The 2 black bulb holders are the signal lights.

It looks great. Nice write up. I may give that a whirl on my bike.
Thanks.

Just remember the LED's have polarity, or they only work in one direction, so when installing them plug the dash in to the wiring harness and turn the bike to ON to turn on the dash lights, then pull out and reinstall each bulb holder that's not lighting up. The harness' are really short so I just plugged in one at a time and checked the bulbs that each harness illuminates.

And don't forget the 3rd bolt that holds the cluster in. Its under the rubber grommet in the bottom center of the cluster.

Replacing dim light bulbs in the backlight of your dashboard is extremely important for your health. Tired eyes can cause migraines and other types of headaches. I discovered that my head hurt in the area of the eye sockets too often. The voltage caused by a dim dashboard is typical for every driver. Previously, I had the usual small light bulbs installed under the dashboard because my car model is old and outdated. But two years ago I had to replace all the interior car lights I could find. Since then, I've realized that we shouldn't accept dim light if our eyes hurt. Your attention should be occupied with the road. You can't look at the speedometer for too long instead of the road.
