Default Cbr f3

I have a 97 cbr f3 I replaced the clutch basket along with new clutch plates and new clutch cable. I can shift into gear but when I give it gas it just revs just like I'm in neutral. The bike moves by its self while in gear. Anyone know what it could be? Thanks.

@Robertp98 Do you have any slack in the clutch cable?

The cable is probably too tight. You should have between 10 to 20 mm of free play in the clutch lever as measured at the end of the lever. Is the clutch cable routed correctly?

Try this, with the engine off, disconnect the cable entirely. Then put the bike in gear, 1st or 2nd doesn't matter. Try moving the bike back and forth. If you can roll the bike, then something is wrong with how the clutch was put back together. If the bike won't move, then it's most likely the clutch cable not being adjusted properly.
