Default Camera Mount - Tank Bolts

I bought a tank mount for camera/gps, etc.
I got it used, and it did not come with the mounting bolts, which I assume are slightly longer than the stock ones.

Anyone know which bolts I need? size? where to get?

Thanks!

Do what I did when looking for replacement bolts:

Take the bolt (or in some of my cases, half a bolt) to Pepboy / Autozone / Home Depot.
Use the sizer to get the right radius
Compare the old bolt to the new ones to get the right length.

Bolts are bout $2. It's not a major cost if you get the wrong size. Just make sure you get the right radius or that you don't try and force the new one. You can snap the new one (ask me how I know )

does the thread pattern need to be identical?

I'm just not sure how long it needs to be. I wouldn't want to screw it into the inside of the tank.. you know?

Never really done this before.

Thanks!

The bolts never enter the gas tank nor are they anywhere near the tank. The mount points are completely clear of the tank.

Never had a problem with the threading so long as I used the sizer.

OK cool.
I'll remove one of the bolts and take it with me to Home Depot, and try to match it up, but get one slightly longer.

Out of curiosity, are all bolts holding the gas cap the size length?

Thanks again for the help
