Default broken clutch cable

I had a clutch cable break, I've ordered a new one (hasn't arrived yet)but my question is, If I manually pull the lever where the clutch cable attaches at the trans it should engage the clutch right? It doesn't seem like the clutch will engage any suggestions?

Thanks in advance![8D]

You would be supprised as to how much pressure you need to activate the clutch lever by hand. If it was working before the cable broke, then it should be working now, maybe a little lube on the activation pivot points may make life easier on the new one
