bike eating batteries?
So my bike has killed it's second battery and I'm super pissed I had the damn thing in for less than a day and it's dead and it was brand spanking new!Anyone know what could be causing this? I think the voltage regular or something like that was a known issue on these bikes? Can anyone confirm or deny that?

RE: bike eating batteries?
did you follow the instructions as far as charging goes with the battery or did you just throw it in like the rest of us? I've done that before and it's a bit embarrasing.
Also, how did the other battery go out. Was it old or a new one? That info will give everybody better ideas as to what may cause what [roblem you are having. For example, did it go out all of a sudden or did you need to baby it to keep it starting again?Or, it was in storage and two weeks afterwards it was dead and stayed dead?
Before you tear into the problem (by buying parts) let us know what is going on and I think you might get some good suggestions.

yeah it was brand new and I followed the instructions to the T on charging the battery. I will research the regulator rectifieer. Before both batteries died I saw the speedo needle jump letting me know that there was a problem both times the battery has died I could push start the bike to get it going---so More than likely you guys are right with the RR I hope---it's a lot cheaper than some of the alternatives!
