Default Bike doesn’t feel like “full” power

Hi everyone!

Ive finally decided to give up and make a topic as I’ve read 50+ topic and already made a lot of fixes on my F3 but there’s one thing that I can’t get fixed, I hope you guys can help me out!

the bike:
1997 PC31 with 54K KMs on the clock
- Solenoid bypassed
- Fresh iridium spark plugs
- New semi synthetic oil + filter
- New airfilter
- New regulator (old died, didn’t go above 11V)
- Carbs cleaned and synced
- Rings and seals replaced in carbs
- New plugs for the vacum ports on the bottom of the intake boots (for syncing)
- Jets checked and replaced (140-142-142-140)
- APE CCT

and some general maintenance.

My final problem:

the bike runs and idles amazing but on WOT it just doesn’t feel like I get all the “power”

might sound strange but my brothers old F2 could lift the front wheel on WOT in first gear, mine won’t even come close to lifting the wheel. Above 170-180km/h I just feel like it needs A LONG time to get to 200+ and I don’t think that should be normal since I’ve seen plenty of YouTube videos that F2s and F3s get to 200 easily. What could have I missed?

thanks in advance!

kevin

let's compare your bike to bone-stock factory OEM bike. It ran perfectly fine when it left showroom floor right? So all we have to do is get it back to that state.

1. do compression test, psi 1-4=???
2. do valve-clearance adjustment, before & after #s =???
3. measure battery voltage with bike OFF and at IDLE, volts1=??? volts2=???
4. measure each spark-plugs gap
5. revert carbs back to ALL FACTORY OEM jet sizes!!! Bike is too rich from factory anyway. Remember that '60s hot-rod saying???

Best to get bike on dyno and get actual AFR readouts and go from there. Post dyno-chart with AFR plot here.

BTW - how were carbs "cleaned"? Completely disassembled down to every last nut, bolt and individual component? Secret hidden passages scrubbed with PEA-based fuel-system cleaner? Ultrasonic soaked? Micro soda-blasted?
