ok i need help!!!! bad!!!! when i start my bike starts idles fine i rev it up in neutral its all fine when i put it in gear and go it bogs down i cant get it into third when im in second with full throttle it bogs down until about 2k rpm then speeds up til it gets to 5k then bogs down and dies i need help asap!!! this is my only transportation!!!! could it be the coils??? or carbs need cleaning???

 

In my little bit of mechanical knowledge I would say ur engine is starving for fuel. Possibly clogged fuel filter, bad fuel, or carbs could need cleaning. If it was the coils you would see it when revving the engine with no load. Just my opinion hopefully somebody else can chime in.

 

i changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump works fine it does leak fuel tho around the black boots on the carbs maybe air getting in there???

 

I had the same problem, changed my spark plugs and ignition pulse generator and all it fine now.

 

i had the same problem , the fuel line from the tank was a inch to long cut it and it fixed

 

Good ideas.
Check inside your gas tank. if it looks rusty, you might have some of that garbage collecting at the fuel petcock. I had that problem before and it drove me crazy after spending a bunch of money on ignition parts. Check the easy stuff first.

 

if it's revving fine and it's ok until second gear, check your vacuum lines. one may be disconnected or clogged. this happened to me and several other riders. tell me if it helps.

 

so i have the exact same problem.... does anyone have a picture of the vac lines other then the diagram... i just got this bike and it was all apart when i got it i have put it all back together as far as the diagram show i just would like to be able to rule this out. any help would be great, and if there is any riders in the smithfield, NC area that would like to ride i am looking for people to ride with in the area.

 

so i have pulled my bike down, i have checked the coils they test good, i have tested the fuel pump it works good. my question on the fuel pump is.... does it run all of the time. mine pulses, is this the reason it sounds and feels like it runs out of gas after 1st gear... it bogs down really bad.. so bad that if i shift to 3rd the bike will die. i don't have the test equipment to test the TPS but how is a good way to tell if that is working..... any ideas and help is great thanks to all
