So I did thecharging check and it checks out, and the battery and stator are new and chargedThe bike will go dead after sitting for a couple days, a short right? I have two questions. One, should the regulator rectifier be getting power when the bike is turned off? My tester says the power wire is showing a live wire to the rec when the bike is off, and two my rear blinker on the right side will not blink but the right front blinks twice as fast as it should. Any relation? thanks

the blinker....the rear one doesnt work...either blown bulb or not connected.

There should be power to your r/r all the time...but its not taking any. its just there. If your bike is off, and sitting, you either have a current leak or your battery is gone. Yes, it may be new, but it may be a bad one from the factory, or a crappy battery. What brand is it?
