I picked up a set of chrome bar ends to slap on my handlebars. I got one side on just fine, but the other side will not come off. When I attempt to unscrew it, the end keeps spinning and spinning, but does not loosen up. The previous owner tipped it over and I'm guessing it landed on the stock bar end. Any ideas on how to get it off? I'm assuming I'll have to drill through it, but I hate taking power tools anywhere near my bike.

 

hold the bar end tight as you loosen the bolt
the inner bar weight has nothing to stop it from spinning
have to do that same when putting your new ones on.

 

hold the old one with vise grips or channel lock pliers. the new one you should be able hold by hand.
