Default Bar Ends

My bad if this is the stupidest questions ever:

How to you properly install bar-ends? I tried installing mine and I tighten them up but then I can accelarate. If I loosen it up I'm afraid the bar-end will fall off.

are they honda bar ends or generic ones? The ones i bought have the notch like the OE ones so they lock tight. Generic ones are flat and don't sit very well on the F3. Also is the throttle grip on all the way sounds a bit stupid but you never know, sometimes it is the simplist things.

The throttle grip sticks a little bit out, and the barends I got are aftermarket ones. They come with what I think is a spacer, but If I use the spacer the barends don't go completely in.

I had the same issue murdo. My right bar end came out while riding (loosened up on it's own) an I ordered some off of ebay. Weird thing is that the new ones look to be exactly to spec with stock, but I had the exact problem you describe.

What I did was loosen the kill switch cluster there to the inside of the throttle tube and move it left up against the mount for my hand brake. I was only able to get about 1/16" out of it, but it was enough to keep my grips from rubbing on either side and sticking.

Hope it works for you...

edit: Now that I re-read I think you might have a slightly diff issue, but maybe this helps you...
