anybody used clear silicone filler?
i am putting led as indicators in the triangle shapes next to the rear light and am wondering if clear silicone will have it shine through ok and wether it could mess with the curcuit borad as i have just ripped the led and circuit out of some old ones i had?

he's wondering if light will penetrate the silicone.
Yes, it will penetrate but you'll lose some light... you dont need to put silicone on the led head, just put the silicone on the posts and in back of the circuit board put some liquid electrical tape and then silicone it up just a little bit.
Silicone wont damage circuit board, but like I said use liquid tape for insulation and then silicone for weather proofing.

hey i used some silicone glue from a car shop called thompsons worked well!!
right for people thinking of doing this some instructions (how i did it)
pulled triangular indicators apart.
unsoldered old spliced wires.
measured wire( over measure by a little bit for attaching the fitting at the end).
soldered on new wire (make sure you get the correct angle when soldering a stiff wire).
place indicator in place and put a bead of silicone around edge and hold for 5-10 mins
then cover the back and any gaps closing it off from rain.
strip the ends of wire and fit the connectors (should be for sale in model shops).
remember to do it in well ventilated area i had the horrid smell of vinegar for ages
