Exclamation Am I running on 3 cylinders?

Here is a pic and video of what I'm seeing.

So that plug to the carb that is not opening looks like this.

The bike is dying at idle. I think it's not as fast as it should be.

In addition,

I'm getting some white smoke and some backfires when I rev it in neutral.

The bike once in a while when I'm wide open will get a big HP boost (once in a while).

Any ideas what I'm looking at or a next step? I've worked on cars and I'm pretty smart, I'd like to tackle this myself.

I have been putting in a couple ounces of Mystery oil every tank for about 10 tanks. It runs WAY better than before. But before wasn't very good.

Thanks in advance everyone!

I also just noticed upon a rough start, carb #3 is spitting fuel up and out when trying to start. (hopefully I can just tweak the ratio, I thought it was running rich when I saw the plug.)

really nothing? I've pulled the carbs and this is my plan and my issues.

Issue #1, there are no sync screws. All just empty slots.

Issue #2, Don't have the key for the mixture ration D shaped screws.

Plan,

Make a D tool and lean up carb 3.

Pull both sides of the carb on #1 to see why that piece is not sliding. Is that the float?

Spray all inlets and outlets with carb leaner.

Leave out the sync screws, used light and a small feeler to gauge them, and they look very similar in gaps, my concern is the don't open and close the same without the screw holding them in place.

Try not to screw any of that up.

If anyone has anything to chime in I would appreciate it. Would rather not end up taking it to a mechanic after I pulled it myself.

Here is my torn diaphragm/piston. $140 through Honda. Probably something I don't want to put electrical tape on.

Just need the D Shaped tool and carb sync screws, but now I have a little more time unfortunately.

Off to the salvage yard.

Do a search on the how-to forum,
there are a couple of really good pictorials on carb rebuild/overhauls.
IDoDirt, in particular, comes to mind.

You should also seriously consider, getting the manual.

You might consider looking on cl for a complete set,
if you're gonna need much in the way of parts.
Sometimes, it's the cheaper way to go.
