'98 rim makeover
Right now im going through a huge makeover process with my 98f3 and the rim paint job that was on the bike before wasnt going to fit the new look at all, so it had to go!
here's what it looked like before:
so i went down to my auto store and picked up some some Klean-Strip aircraft paint remover and some black engine enamel paint. it was convenient that i was also changing the back tire at the time too, so i already had the tire off the rim, then i went to work with the paint remover! i only removed the paint off the of lip of the rim
then i got some sandpaper out and just scuffed up the spokes and everything else that still had paint on it. i proceeded on to masking off all the newly chrome portions
then i went over everything with 1 heavy coat and another light coat of the engine enamel. Here's the finished product!
Definitely would call it a success! it took about 5 hours of work and about $25 in supplies.
