This is probably a shot in the dark, but do you have the stock f3 tail laying around somewhere?

i was definitely inspired by your bike, but went a completely different direction. i had wanted to put a car rim on it, but the alignment was very off. clone is not what i would call it but a close second. didnt do the r1 cowl, but wished i did something more unique. im going to finish up the fiberglassing this spring and relocate the rectifier. maybe do some work on the cowl, but it require it to be repainted, and just dont want to do that just now..

as for the original f3 tail, everything was sold. the only thing i still have left is my old swingarm, tire, and side mirrors. the rest helped me pay for the project. was a good experience thats for sure. still need to make a sssa bikestand.

Now that the spring is here, it's time to revisit my project. Im working on getting the exhaust built on the bike. Some local laws over dB have changed, and the fines are pretty nasty.

Also, I've been riding a pretty bland albeit white bike for over a year, it's time to come up with some decals for the summer.

Some pin-striping around the rim, suggested by a buddy of mine

Just adding little decals for labels and stuff. donno how it will look on the full blown bike, but I think i need to take a higher res shot so i can do some really detailed work.

I remember reading this thread when you were first posting it, but never subscribed.
It's lookin' good - the last set of proposed graphics is looking really nice!

Thanks! It's come a long way from the old f3 look. I have some aesthetic mods Im going to do next winter. gonna make the front fairing a little more aggressive by molding in around the headlights more. Need to lower my mirrors a bit, they get more of my shoulders then the road :0

As for the R1 exhaust, it's off a 2003-4 R1. The tail was bought from 3 different people, top, bottom and exhaust all separate. The top was banged up pretty good, i've had to do some work fixing the tabs and such. It's certainly a hack job if there was ever one, but I dont weld yet. Again, next years project.

No one wants to be flappin' their arms like a chicken, so they can get a view of what's behind!!

so true. I was going to move them completely down to the corners where the headlights are, fiberglass in some metal reinforcement and see where that takes me.

some more comps of vinyl styles.

Think im leaning towards the last one. like the blue on the black rim.
