i have a 96 cbr600 F3. the bike is running pretty good, just synched all my carbs tonight and swapped out my fuel filter. that was what i thought was causing my lag, but apparently not. lowend its a little slow because the fuel air mixture is low, but high its always ran great. the other day though my motor hit about 10,500 on the tach in about 5thand slammed me forward almost hard enough to throw me off. i let off and throttled back on and it passed 10,500 but did it again at bout 11,grand. between 1-3 gear it still seems to hit 12,500 no problem. but sometimes it acts up in third and almost always in fourth at 10,500. i really notice this when getting on the freeway. almost feels like major engine braking. again, this problem started after my tuneup, according to mechanic he adjusted my valves and flushed the carbs. dont know what this would be because swapping out thefuel filter didnt seem to do much for the problem im experiencing. any thoughts would really help.

If the bike is running lean at low RPMs, wonder if it's still lean at higher RPMs? I'd rather give it more gas lower and have it get enough gas at higher RPMs.
