PM sent! does any one have more info on this? i have my own machine shop and i plan on doing this very swap.

There are no "upper" cases on the F3. The crank and engine are one and the same. You have to split the cases. in half... That kind of a stroke up will kill the bottom end of the engine in no time. The 900cc engine swap makes more sense.

The crank & cases are most definitely NOT 1 in the same thing. There are 2 case halves, upper & lower. The crankshaft must turn inside the cases, so how can they be one in the same??

So sorry. I left out A WORD and you decided to respond with many words in a confrontational manner.

Harrumph (clearing throat)...

Is that better?

The words I chose to use doesn't matter...

The crankshaft & the engine cases are NOT one in the same. The crankshaft does go inside of the engine cases, as does a few other parts & pieces. There are 2 halves to the cases. Upper & lower case halves. They aren't even made of the same material & they should never come in contact with one another in a well running engine.

The 900 crankshaft will not even go into a set of 600 cases. The 900 sleaves can be installed into the UPPER case halves of a 600 with some machine work once the 600 sleaves have been removed.

For Crying Out Loud! Learn to read! I said Crank AND Engine CASE! (As in Crank CASE AND Engine CASE) Yes they are exactly the same (in this situation), if you can comprehend the English language. As far as anything else you have to say it sounds like you're arguing with yourself. I'm done with this thread.

I'm done with this thread too.

Why reply to a 3 year old thread then turn it into an argument?
