Default 1997 Racer

Just picked up this barn find, 97 set up for the track. Ohlins shock, Race Tech forks. Was going to check carbs for jet kit but man, by looking at manual....wow a lot of work. Anybody rejet their F3 ? Any body got any race parts for one of these. It will make a great Modern Vintage racer.

Very nice looking bike there. Can you take a cruise through the F3 forums you'll find quite a few or people have changed out with their jets. That should give you a head start.

Bike looks great, but are you sure it's a F3? Unless my eyes are deceiving me, that's an F2 front wheel/brake setup.

I've got a steering damper for it, either way...

You may be right. Vin number shows 97 but you are right, front end may be F2. Disc is too small for F3. Why would they do that ?

Doesn't make sense to go to F2 wheel/brakes, perhaps previous owner got a great deal on the race tech forks.

In any case, it looks like a fun project, better than any barn find I've come across!

I've got a steering damper if you're taking it to the track, not much else for F3.
