Default 1997 CBR 600 Smokin Joe Edition

Wondering if my bikes runnung the right plugs the bloke i bought it off ran it as a track bike the plugs ive pulled out are very very very fouled almost melted the plug numbers are CR8EH 9. All 4 are rooted also i parked her up the night before then all of a sudden she wont start the next morning she cranls over fine but seems as if shes not getting any fuel? Once i put new plugs in if she still doesmt start what does anyone suppose my problem could be ?

Stock plug is NGK CR9EH-9. You have a hotter plug (the '8') and it is not burning off the deposits.

Also seems you have carb issues...time to remove & clean. Always a fun job.

Thankyou been told by previous owner it was a mallala race way bike and tuned to run at a hotter temperature would that be why i have 8s in and not 9? And if i out stock 9s in will i have to tune her again?

I completely cleaned my carbs floats and jets the other day dudnt touch the diaframs also found my fuel pump has shat itself what is the little tapper thing on the back of the pump called i need to get a new one as my current ones are destroyed it gets on click then stays open

The points in most fuel pumps are replaceable. Just gotta find the right ones.

There is a member on here named IDoDirt. He has a thread on rebuilding f3 fuel pump points. Do a quick search for him and you will find it. I seem to remember that the link might be in his signature line
