was size chain? i had a 180 dunlop qual on mine with a 525. it didnt rub but was close. i think loose chain and tire alighment.

 

thx for the responses..i'm going to have the chain setup checked out to see if there's an issue there other than the tire being the cause.
seems to ride fine although i dont go hard in turns just in case..

 

do yourself a favor and put a 160 on...

 

I've got a 180 on mine. Bought it like that, and just put a new 180 on a few weeks ago. No problems with chain clearance at all.
How much wider is the 180 than the 160? I like the width on the 180 thats why I stuck with it, but it does get a little hairy in the corners at 90+

 

hey Bro i just put a 180- 55 on mine.... and i love it...... well the looks... handling is different but oter then that NO PROBLEMS....... chain slack???? but n e ways keep an eye on dat bro

 

I have a F3 racebike with a 180-55, and works well. If the chain is worn considerably and has much side to side play, or the rear wheel is not aligned, it could be your issue.

 

2 centimeters wider, I am pretty sure 180 means 180millimeters
