Hi. Just wanted to ask someone who has 120/70 - 17 at the front. I read that front fender would get in the way. If it does how do u raise it. Some pics would be very nice if some one has it done.

I did it on mine and you'll have to raise the fender up but the rear will still eventually scrap but it doesn't affect anything. The 120/70 give you much better feel for the bike, it well worth it.

 

Can you attach any pics of how you raised the fender please, incase i have to as well. cheers

 

it drops the front quicker in a corner. thats the only difference, some think its ok, others like me hate it. Stick with the 60 is my advice

 

I have a Avon Azaro 120/70zr17 on the front of my F3. I got the tire virtually new for free. I had a Avon rear given to me alsobut the profile was too big(Can't remember what it was) and had a chicken strip in it.

Right now on the rear I have a Track Take off that came with the bike. It was a Pirelli with a 180/55zr17

My question is what would be a good rear profile to accompany the 120/70/17? I live a couple hours away from Deal's Gap and ride in very twisty roads of North Georgia when I can. So tight turns would be my concern over long sweeping turns.

I know Power Pilots but heard nothing but good about the Avon Azara (Model number is av45-st)

Which I got a nail in my rear and need to replace the tire anyways.

 

Sorry I'd love to show you some pics but I've sold the bike. All I did was use a dremel tool to remove some plastic around the mount holes so that it will allow the fender to raise alittle.

 

you need to do nothing. i have a 120/70/17 front and had to do nothing. also, i run a 160/60/17 rear

 

On the racebike I sometimes run a 125 front (taller) and the front of the front fender sometimes rubs the tire on the long straights.I cut the fender.But,these are speeds in excess of 150 mph.
