This is a good question, I was curious about these fairing kits myself. They are cheaper on Ebay but how is the quality and fit/finish? Has anyone purchased one of these kits?

Another big question, what do you do for the tank? I'm assuming you'll have to have your tank painted to match. Here's a link to one of the kits on ebay:

The fairings are made of tough ABS, alot of them come with a tank cover that slips over the tank. Good fit from everything i've heard, and you can also have them custom painted, or ready to be painted. check the link, He gives a rundown and alot of good pics. This is just for quality purposes. Everything will bolt on but the taillight needs to be replaced with an f3's taillight. No biggie on that. Thats all im positive on.

i know they are cheaper on ebay, it was just an example. haha
and i really just want one to update the look of the bike, and i dont want to have to get it painted, thats why i chose one already painted in the colors i want (black, red, and white)

so everything bolts and fits fine, i just will need a f3 taillight?

You also need the f3 tail light bracket, a F3 undertail (although, I have heard you can do some bending of the tail light bracket and cut the undertail to make it fit I just watched ebay and got it all), and a f3 seat if you are doing the 97/98 tail (the F2 seat will fit, it will just leave a really big and ugly gap around the gas tank). It is well worth the patience finding all the correct parts to make it look stock. I did it on mine and it looks great.
