whining noise!?
hi! its about my f2, my first bike, i know that normally this bikes have a strong mechanical noise, but i think it got louder, a whining noise same as a car on reverse backingup, weeeee, every time I accelerate it winds, i think it should be normal but these last days i got the feeling it got louder, then the other day a friend made the same comment without me asking, does anyone know what this can be, is it a problem and what should i do about it. i want to listen to the engine not that whining noise weeeeee.
thanks!
thanks!
From what I know that "whining" noise in a car is because of the shape of the transmission gears, but then again, I know nothing. No clue why a bike would do it loudly. I mean, every bike will make some sort of noise when the transmission is engaged and spinning under power..
Hey see if you get teh whine when the bike is coasting (turn the engine off and ride down a hill for a little wase).
I think that the whine on my bike is the speedo, but its not really loud but its loud enough that I hear it.

accelerating in neutral sounds great, no whine. when im riding it whines, very similar to a car backingup but not as loud, actualy it sound the same as a car on reverse, when in gear if i accelerate weeeeee, let go of the gas and wuuuwuu, clutch and no whine! it corelates with the speed of the bike. imagine if you are driving your car down the block on reverse (but not as loud)
thanks for your time and help!

This may not be it, but if it has a manual CCT then it could be too tight... causing the sound. From the way you are describing it, it probably does not do it when idle. If not at idle It may be a problem with the trans.
Try lubing your drive chain & check the tension too.
this is a hard one without actually listening to pin point it.
could be anything from the output shaft bearing to the clutch thrust bearing..
