That sux man...when you replace it try using CPU goo between the RR and frame...it will allow the RR to more efficiently dissipate heat to the frame.

Don't bother with a stock replacement. Order a 2004ish GSXR1000 one from ebay. I paid 50$ for mine. Splice the wires from the honda harness and the RR and ride it. It is massive compared to the stock one and it has cooling fins so it will not overheat again.

There is a thread about this somewhere. Thats where I got the idea from.

Yeah I ended up burning out my regulator one day while I was riding. The engine wouldn't stay running. Luckily I Had an extra regulator or some thing. I am not even sure what It might have been a gixxer or an f4i. I am not sure. I paid a couple bucks or so. I think I picked it up when I bought something else.

They are easy to wire in almost all the regulators are the same color wires.

The gixxer wires are nowhere near the same colors. They are all black and 2 are striped. The honda is like red/green/yellow.

Just curious, dont you have a 900RR motor on yours? Did you keep the F2 R/R or are you running one from the 900?
