Hey man didn't see it mentioned here so I thought I would bring up changing the plugs. Using a lot of Seafoam has no ill effects on the bike itself but can foul the plugs up pretty bad, they will probably come out white.
I'm in Chicago as well so let me know if you ever need help wrenching.

Too much Seafoam can clog the jets from the dirt and debris sitting in the lines, tanks and carbs. It will definately loosen dirt and cause it to float into harms way. I NEVER use more than a half a can between two fill-ups, also I use a inline fuel filter too. Too much can be harmful with the internals of the bike, fuel, carbs, etc.
I say try a full tank of fuel and new plugs, also a good carb cleaning and you will fire right up.

I think Seafoam is ok to use as long as you don't go way overboard. I bought a can of it the other day and it says it will treat 8-25 gallons. I mixed 1/2 can of it in 4 gallons of 91 octane fuel in my 1000RR and if it ever stops raining I will see how it runs.
