Default subframe question

I am getting ready topick up a f2 bike that is in pieces, but all there. Thing is he said the subframe is completely hacked up and I talked to some people and they say the subframe is welded to the frame. Is that true? If it's the case should I pass the deal? BTW the only thing needed is a front wheel and subframe. There is no title but the bike is only $250. Let me know your opinions on it. Also I was planning on making this a track bike, so no title is fine with me.

The subframe is indeed welded on. You do have options. I made four mounts and then had an aluminiumsubframe made. Depending on how hacked it its, you could probably make brackets to mount a race tail fairly easily.

If it's $250 and everything is there I would say take it.. if you cant make it work you can part it out and get your money back and then some.
