Strange Issue? Please help
So I recently picked up a 93 F2. Seems to run great. Took it for my first ride the other day, with no real issues. After about a 20-30 minute ride, I shut it off for just a few minutes to talk to my friend (who was also riding)
When I went to go start it back up, it acted like the battery had almost no charge. It wouldn't start under it's own power. I pop started it and it started right up.
The whole ride home I noticed the throttle had a hesitation, from the transition from no throttle to throttle. It was only right when I gave it gas it would hesitate and then run smooth. Like that the whole way home.
Any ideas? I would like to believe it's the regulator/rectifier but everyone else that had that go bad, had the bike shut off on them. Mine never shut off on me, only acted like the battery died and had to be pop started.
BTW, when I got home the battery was fine.
Kinda confused on this one

Well, I think I found part of the problem.
The plug for the reg/rect was crispy fried on two of the yellow wire connectors. Couldn't even pull the plug off without breaking off the plastic around it and prying it with a screwdriver.
Gonna ditch that garbage stock regulator and get the gsxr unit and put a new plug on. Hopefully that'll fix my issue.

Yup. Regulator rectifier can make the bike act like any one or all of multiple things are going on. What your rectifier did is ABSOLUTLEY normal, for stock ones. Mine was the exact same way when I took it into the shop. I redesigned, cheap one off ebay and it has worked perfectly. They said the charging system is exactly where its supposed to be.
