After weeks of trying to get cbr 600 started. finally got it going .It starts first time now and ticks over great. But soon as you ride it and pull away it not right. Had the carbs off cleaned everthing , six hours , all jets even the ones difficult to get to.Cleaned tank was ok , checked vacume hose ,Checked air filter , fitted new plugs ,leads are back in right position well renewed leads and suppressor caps ,dont know what else to try

Did you do anything to the fuel line, such as add an inline filter? When I had the same problem, the inline filter I put on was too long and pinched my fuel line, causing no gas to come out. Also make sure your vacuum nipple on your petcock isn't clogged up (be careful taking it apart) That will also cause you not to get fuel

I would agree that the problem could be not getting enough fuel.

It may be getting just enough to start and idle, but when you open the throttle up and demand more fuel it may be starving.

Check that the diaphragm in the petcock is not jarred out of place or stuck.

It's simple to remove the petcock, just drain the fuel into a clean container and remember how everything comes apart.

Thanks guys tried inline filter took it off because it was very tight . think i will have to renew the petcock rubbers ..If the diahram isnt working and petrol is flowing to carbs . the carbs wount flood as they would cut off when they reach float height where can i get genuine rubbers from ,many thanks.

You can get that piece from oem honda stores (there are hundreds online) and it shouldn't cost too awful much for the diaphram
