can someone please explain to me what a steering damper does?? or what its for?? any info would be appreciated. thanks.

 

Steering dampers stiffen up the steering, and reduce vibrations in the steering. They make it a bit easier to go into corners and mine has let me get my knee a bit closer to the ground. My bike tracks very straight, and the rear tire follows easily. The bike wants to stay straight and stiff, so when going around corners, the bike feels like a solid piece instead of having the handlebars move around.

 

is it a worth while investment on my f2?? does it really make that much of a difference?

 

Not if you're a beginning rider. It is a good investment for agressive riders, but get used to the bike first, then think about an upgrade. The dampers are around $200...
