You mean the battery tender/charger?

I have heard it extends the life of battery itself...unless you commute daily which keeps the battery fully charged cause every time you ride, your stator(alternator) charges your battery.

But some of us only ride during weekends, and for a battery to sit, it looses it's charge. Battery tender on float mode will keep battery fresh, so everytime you start your bike, it's strong! Especially our bikes are older models, carburetor....last thing we want is a weak crank.

I got this:

Amazon.com: Battery Tender 021-0123 Battery Tender Junior 12V Battery Charger: Automotive

you can use it on bike or cars. Comes with a wire connector which you install on battery. Run the wire securely to a location that you can access. Once parked, just plug into outlet.....

pretty cool gadget.

Harbor Freight carry this same one on ebay for $9.99, but sometimes on sale for $5.99. But no connector so you have to remove seat to get to battery...

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I ride everyday, as my bike is my only transportation right now. PO put a new battery in when I bought it 3 months ago, so I don't think it'd be that much of a problem. Does it help even if I do ride everyday and it's charged? or will I not see much of a difference?

if you ride everyday, you dont need it. even if it sits for a week every now and then, you'll be good. but if it sits frequently for weeks at a time, it will keep your battery healthy and charged.

Lol....not today though...raining cats & dogs...

Yeah, I work alot so sometimes I go a month without riding. I try to get in once a week though but sometimes not that easy. The older you get, more responsibility, more responsibility, less time for one self.
