Default F2 to 07+ Subframe/Tail Swap

I was looking at G150ST's subframe swap, and it looks pretty cool. I recently came across a super cheap frame that's perfect for chopping up so my prior reservations for cutting things up flew out the window. There are some cheap subframes with the plastic trays all over ebay, and I've been looking at the 07-08 style.

Does anyone think this would work as well as the super popular 05 rr swap? I searched high and low for a picture of anything like this (several forums and google in general) but found nothing. I'm worried the newer rr is a smaller bike and the tail won't look good at all. Everything is aesthetic and I would like anyone's opinion.

Thanks

Well if no one thinks it's going to result in a super ugly bike, I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on it. It it goes poorly I can can fall back on the 05 subframe, which seems to have worked really well.

Idk If it'll fit. Probably just easier to get a newer bike that you like the tail

Why don't you think it'll fit?

Granted the f2, overall is an inch longer, but from what I can deduce by seeing them parked next to mine is that the width isn't hugely different (I may be wrong).

I haven't seen the 600rr subframe in person though, so do you mean the f2 frame would have to be bent to accomodate variation betwen the two?

well lemme change that, if you can weld cut and fabricate, it'll fit but it'll be such a pain in the *** it might not even be worth it and then you run into the issue of fitting the rest of the fairings with that tail

I plan on rockin a naked bike (other than the tail), because I bought it naked and the tail conversions throught the forums here are very appealing to me

Already a member of custom fighter, I kinda stalk around there and get too many bad ideas .

I have compiled all of the parts, and I'm planning on getting started on this. However, I ran into a little bit a trouble. I was installing my new trailtech today and was pumped to get this bike out of storage. BUT the bike wouldn't start.

Two weeks ago I cleaned out the carbs and funneled some fresh gas directly into the carbs. After a few cranks it started up. I thought (with my luck) it was a fluke. I shut it off and put my tools away and went back and it started back up (full choke). So I threw the tank back on and put the rest of my new gas in it. Now, it won't start. Is two weeks long enough for the gas (91 octane) to have gone bad in the carbs? I don't get it.

Also, I put did the integrated tail light mod outlined in this thread:https://cbrforum.com/forum/600-modif...-96-f3-107983/ and the brake lights worked, but the turn signals don't. I suspect the relay is bad because the previous owner had done some stupid stuff with the headlight and turn signals. However, the gremlins got this one too and now my brake lights don't work, but the tail lights still come on.

If anybody has any suggestions on either of these problems I would appreciate it very much.
