Default Signal Replacements for rear and front

CBR Riders,

Now that I've become a new member, I notice the turn signal on the rear and front, are rather old looking (from the sun).

I want to replace those, specifically the rear but the front as well.

On the rears, do they just unscrew under the seat? If so, I would imagine that's easy. The front's look like one must suffer to remove the fairing which I think might be a battle.

Any thoughts on replacing these to give the bike a more cleaning look?

I order decals so once I get them in a add them on the bike, I'll post pics.

Thank you

Oh..before I forget, the gas tank has 3 settings. Down, forward and up. Since I don't have the owners manual, I don't know which is which.

i would cut the rear fender like a lot of the guys here have done. it cleans up the back of the bike alot and buy aftermarket rear blinkers. I have done it and it looks great, also if you are carful you can leave a little but to drill holes into the plastic and mount your blinkers to. Wish i would have thought before i cut. Then just mount your lisence plate. If clean is the look your going for then do it. As for the front i have not done and dont plan on it just because mine are fine. The tank is Down(ON), Forward(OFF), and Up(Reserve), hope this help you with you decision.

The front turn signals are not hard to remove and don't require pulling the upper fairings. If you look underneath them on the outside there is one screw that holds them in, take that out and they slide out the front.

Thank you for the signal info!

Ok, so I checked the signals and I noticed something really odd.

The right side blinks fast both front and rear right side.

The left side blinks, well, normal, both front and left side.

Is that normal?

Also, is there an easy way to replace the tempature bulb? Seems its gone out.

Thank you again!

Well what I did since I laid mine down is bought a new upper without the signals off ebay, purchased carbon mirrors with integratedsignals, rear tail with integrated signals and modded my rear pegs with LEDs for both my brake lights and turn signals. A lot of time and money have went into it but well worth it.
