Does your guys serial number on your trans case (right beside clutch cable)... match that of the VIN on your frame ?

Mine does not and the tranny also has painted numbers on it which is leading me to believe my trans is not the original...

 

it's even not the original cover or the whole engine is not original cause the tranny and engine come in one case

 

street600 I just installed a engine from a wrecked bike and the engine number didn't match, but I checked mine out and mine didn't match either. Are they suppose to match? they both match on my sportster.
