Good Q, are we talk'n engine parts, needing heat disapation? "Pops" Yosh, said, left raw silicon carbide blasted engines, disapated a incredible amount more heat. A thin coating of hi temp flat black(barely colored) is still great. the prob.(for some),is raw cases stain easily(dirty).

Powdercoaters say... pc, dosen't trap heat... NO way, does wrapping your engine in vinyl, promote disapation. Ask any harley owner,w/ a pc engine... they usualy end up having to run an aux oil cooler to help out. I wouldn't hesitate to run pc, on an exaust, as the 1200f stuff is good. also jet coatings ceramic is great and can be apply'd to a used system, and reduce header heat transfer to your engine.

For other non heat disapating peices... I have had great success w/ Duplicolor self etching and ceramic engine paint. There tech line is fantastic. laq wash, then Pre warm peices and can slightly and spray away!!! Clean and free, Ripp'n

Thanks for the info. I purchased a used center stand and cleaned them up but wanted to make sure it doesn't rust up. I will probably get it powder coated.
