Default rattle

Howzit, just got a cbr 600 f2 and I noticed it has a rattle at idle, when I pull in the clutch it disappears, is this normal?
And also the cam chain seems to have a little rattle as im starting it up when its cold but goes away as soon as its going, is this normal?

The rattle you can hear is the clutch thrust bearing, nothing to worry about, mine has been noisy for yrs
As for the cam chain if it's an early model it will have a oil pressure fed CCT so this is normal too, try not to rev the engine when starting her too much and the rattle should go almost straight away

Yeah, the rattle is common on the older bikes. Welcome to owning an F2. But, that's about the only complaint I have with my bike!!

Welcome to the boards by the way
