Default raising clipons

So my bike is lowered in the front and the back. It is also stretched about 6 inches. I'm guessing the front is lowered about 1.5" because there is a gap between the top of the clipon and the notch at the top of the shock where the ring clip is supposed to be. I don't mind the ride height where it is but would like to raise the clipons to get a better ride position. If I raise them the stop won't catch the top tree. Is it safe to ride like that?

Some file the notch off to change the angle of the handles, aftermarket ones (for example my woodcrafts) don't have it at all. Of course there is the possibility that in some cases they might turn, but as long as everything is nice and tight It shouldn't be a problem, just make sure none of the wires or lines pull and the handles won't hit the fairings on any position after you've raised them.

Like Mattson said, no aftermarket clip-ons have these tabs on them, and there's no issue, even in race environments, as long as they are tightened corectly.
Honestly, I think those tabs are there more for orienting the OEM clip-ons at the correct angle, then keeping them in place... just torque those bolts to spec, maybe even a ft. lb. or two over, for peace of mind, and you should be fine.

yeah that's what I figured that none of the aftermarket brands have the notches, but they usually have more than one bolt also. I think it will be fine though if I tighten them correctly. I never thought about the cables. I will have to check into that. Hopefully raising them just the 1.5" will put less strain on my hands. We'll find out. Thanks guys.

Before raising, read this:

https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600f2...-where-147520/

Note is the 1,5" raise from the original position or from a "0" position as in the woodcrafts I have, as you can see the rise is not significantly big, but it`s enough to make a significant change to the position partly because of the longer tubes, and it`s the most the cables and the visor will allow you to do before further modifications. If the real raise is the 1,5" I`d suspect you`re gonna hit the visor and pull the cables.

My bike is lowered in the front so the shock tubes actually extend above the clipons about 1.5".It's like if you loosened the clamp bolts on the upper and lower triple trees and clipons and let the whole front end of the bike slide down the fork tubes. So if you think about it,it would be like rising them up from the stock position. If that makes any sense.

Yes I got that, my intention was more to show you the pics like the the front brake reservoir being just millimetres from the windscreen when fully turned to the left even though the raise is so small.
