Default Question about verifying the charging

Please read this carefully and do not tell me that I have to change the R/R lol
I searched this forum, the manual and other sites but I couldn't find out how exactly to measure the voltage output when the engine is running. Some say that I have to check the voltage with the headlight on high beam (or with any other bigger consumer), some say that I have to measure with no consumer on.
The fact is that I have changed my R/R with an aftermarket one and if I measure the charging with no consumer on, the voltage is between 13.5 - 14.4, but if I measure the charging with the high beam on, the voltage drops between 13.0 - 13.8.
So, if anyone knows for sure how the charging must be measured, please feel free to post!

without if you are getting a reading between 14-14.5 you are good but in all truth you can check it either way but the best and most accurate is without good luck
